Lazy loadThe bank of Meghna River delta at Char fasson. e Meghna River (Bengali: মেঘনা নদী) is an important river in Bangladesh, one of the three that forms the Ganges Delta, the largest on earth fanning out to the Bay of Bengal. Being a part of the Surma-Meghna River System, Meghna is formed inside Bangladesh by the joining of different rivers originating from the hilly regions of eastern India. The river meets Padma River in Chandpur District. The river ultimately flows into the Bay of Bengal in Bhola District. Major tributaries of the Meghna include the Dhaleshwari River, Gumti River, and Feni River. The Meghna empties into the Bay of Bengal via four principal mouths, named Tetulia, Shahbazpur, Hatia, and Bamni.[1] The Meghna is the widest river among those that flow completely inside the boundaries of Bangladesh. At one point near Bhola, Meghna is 12 km wide. In its lower reaches this river follows almost a straight line in its path Keywords - Animal, bangladesh, Barishal, Bhola, boat, Boats, capture, channel fishing trawler, Char fasson, Commercial, Fish, fish farmers, fisherman, Fishing boat, landscape, Life style, Meghna, Meghna river delta, nature, netting, people team, protein, river, shahabazpur, trapping net, trawler, upazila, Wild, worldwide. More than 80 percent of the animal protein in the Bangladeshi diet comes from fish. Most commercial fishermen are low-caste Hindus who eke out the barest subsistence working under primitive and dangerous conditions. They bring a high degree of skill and ingenuity to their occupation; a few of the most enterprising ones are aided by domesticated otters, which behave like shepherds, swimming underwater, driving fish toward the fisherman's net (and being rewarded themselves with a share of the catch). Fish for local consumption are generally of freshwater varieties. Lazy loadFishing boats at Char fasson, Bhola. A fishing boat is a kind of boat which is used to catch fish in the river. Lazy loadThe view of foggy dusk at Buriganga River. The Buriganga is economically very important to Dhaka. Launches and Country Boats provide connection to the other parts of Bangladesh, a largely reverie country. When the Mughals made Dhaka their capital, in 1610, the banks of the Buriganga were already a prime location for trade. The river was also the city's main source of drinking water. The Sadarghat Launch Terminal is one of the largest river ports in the World.
